How we rank and check prices
Every ranking on HeadcountReview sorts providers by one printed criterion, using prices we checked on each provider’s own website and dated on the page; partners can’t change a ranking.
How we rank
Each ranking prints its criterion above the table, for example “all-in monthly cost per employee at 10 employees,” and sorts strictly by it. Ties share a rank and are listed alphabetically. We include providers whether or not they pay us. A provider is left out only for a reason we print under the table, such as not serving the US or publishing no prices and no credible public evidence of them.
How we check prices
Prices come from each provider’s own pricing or terms page, and every price on the site links to its source and shows the date we checked it. When a provider doesn’t publish prices, we say so and show the best public evidence with its basis labelled, for example “reported quote.” All-in cost tables are our sums of published prices. We re-check the most-read pricing pages every month and the rest at least quarterly.
Government rates
Payroll tax rates, social contributions and minimum wages come from the government authority that sets them, with the effective date.
Partners and money
We earn a fee from some providers when a reader signs up through our links. Those links are marked as sponsored in the page code and are listed on our disclosure page. Partner status never affects a ranking, a score or what we say about a provider.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it, add a dated note at the bottom of the page and update the page’s modified date. We never backdate a page.
